Mr Davids has made a wonderful range of activities and learning experiences based on the theme of "Past, Present and Future".  The idea is that staff delivering Tallis Lab will select activities that they think will provoke the most creative responses from students. Some activities might take a couple of lessons, some might be extended to take place over a number of weeks. Some activities will involve experimenting with new technologies and others are analogue tasks that require every bit as much thinking from the students as their digital equivalents. Some groups are going to experiment with Google Earth to see how geotagging might create a virtual archive of the memories and histories associated with our current school building. Mr Davids has made a great interactive powerpoint that will introduce to some of the wonderful things that can achieved with Google Earth. If you play the powerpoint and click on the buttons it will help explain how to use Google earth and also its potential for supporting creative learning.  There is also a really helpful grid outlining a wonderful range of activites to choose from. Finally, there is a great workpack that outlines the tasks and resources that might be needed in more detail.
